How to purify your water and keep it pure

Purifying Water

When window cleaning using the pure water fed system you will know you need to keep your water pure in order for no streaks or spots to be left on the window.

The amount of window cleaners who have this system yet prefer tradition methods is astounding. The main problem is because you have to get your water ideally below 3 ppm (parts per million) and keeping the water pure can be a job if your not using a top of the range system.

Every 6 months it is advised to change your osmosis filters however if you back fill your tank once a week with the pure water already stored then it will flush out the inpurities in your filters giving them extra life.

I have a pure freedom system with a 400 litre tank installed into my van, I have a normal reverse osmosis system which tap water is fed through to then goes through my resin filter which takes out most of the inpurities, Because my filters need changing which costs about £20.00 the water is coming through at around 10 ppm. When this happens I back flush the system through another filter which is the one in the picture.

This filter is a filter that costs £40.00. You could plug this filter straight into your garden tap and it would take out all the inpurites around 400 or more but it would not last very long.

I use this filter, it lasts me about 6 months then I drip all the water out leave it for a couple of days and then cut it open, I use the resin inside and use it to fill up my small resin cartridge which saves me buying more resin.

The drainage on this system is quite high, But again you could plug the drainage pipe into this filter and start filling up your tank with a second source and no drainage!!

Keeping your water pure is a must but with different filters you could have no drainage and make your reverse osmosis filters last quite a bit longer
